Open Access Policy

This journal is an open access journal that provides free access to the full text of all published articles without charging readers or their agencies to access them. Readers have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link the full text of all articles on Innovation. This journal provides direct open access to its content on the principles that make research freely available to the public supporting a greater global knowledge exchange.

Focus and Scope

INOVASI Journal is a religious education and training journal published by the Surabaya Religious Education and Training Center. The INOVASI journal covers the education sector in schools / madrasahs as well as the field of religion. We welcome original research articles and ideas. The aim of the INOVASI Journal is to disseminate research results and increase the productivity of scientific publications. The INOVASI journal is published every quarter in April, August and November with the scope and focus of research areas, namely: education and religion.

The authors who publish this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. The author holds the copyright and gives the journal rights to the Surabaya Journal of Innovation-Balai Diklat Religious
  2. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (for example, in institutional repositories or on their website) before and during the submission process, as doing so can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and larger citations of the work published.

The names and email addresses entered on this journal site will be used exclusively for the purposes of this journal and will not be available for any other purpose or any other party.

The Peer Review Process

Each article submitted to the editor will be pre-selected on scope and eligibility by the editorial board. Then the articles will be sent to peer reviewers and followed by further selection through the Blind Preview Process. The reviewer does not know the identity of the author, and the author does not know the identity of the reviewer. Every submitted paper will be reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers. After that the article will be returned to the author for revision. The review process will consider novelty, objectives, methods, scientific implications, conclusions, and references.

Journal History

JURNAL INOVASI was first published four times a year for the print version in 2007. Then in 2012, JURNAL INOVASI started using the OJS platform for online journals using the Ministry of Religion-Jakarta's R & D and Training Agency servers. Then in 2019 JURNAL INOVASI published OJS with a server from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) which was published three times (3x) a year, then starting in 2021 published twice (2x) a year. The publishing process in JURNAL INOVASI uses print and online versions (OJS).

Publication Fee

Since it was first published, the INOVASI journal does not charge (free) for writers, even writers get an incentive from the publisher of IDR 100,000 / page. In 2021 the author's fee will be increased to IDR 200,000 / page.

Reference Management

Every article submitted to the INOVASI Journal must use reference management software, for example EndNote or Mendeley.
